As Congress leader Rahul Gandhi prepares to lead a major protest rally in Bengaluru on Thursday, over alleged voter fraud in the 2024 general elections, city authorities have issued a traffic advisory warning of disruptions across key roads.

The Bengaluru Traffic Police announced parking restrictions and route diversions, urging commuters to avoid major routes during VVIP movement. Traffic disruptions are expected between 10:30 am and 11:30 am, and again from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, especially on Old Airport Road, MG Road, and Cubbon Road. Authorities have asked the public to use alternate routes and cooperate during these intervals.

Rahul Gandhi, addressing alleged electoral malpractice, accused the BJP of orchestrating a “massive electoral fraud” in Bangalore Central, particularly in the Mahadevapura Assembly segment, claiming that over 1,00,250 votes were ‘stolen’. He further alleged collusion by the Election Commission, based on data analysis conducted by Congress, revealing discrepancies that he said benefited the BJP.

Responding, BJP MP P C Mohan, representing Bangalore Central, dismissed the claims as baseless and sensationalist, criticizing the Congress for raising objections a year after the polls. “If so many votes were stolen, why wasn’t a case filed within 45 days?” he asked.

Mohan argued that the electoral rolls were shared with all parties, and no objections were raised by Congress during the review. He claimed voters in Mahadevapura rejected dynasty politics and appeasement, asserting, “The problem is not the fraud. The problem is the result.”
