The Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) has announced comprehensive traffic arrangements for New Year’s Eve, aiming to ensure smooth celebrations across the city. Key details include parking restrictions, designated drop points, and flyover closures.

Parking Restrictions:

  • Indiranagar 100 Feet Road: Both sides from Old Madras Road Junction to Domlur Flyover Junction.
  • Indiranagar 12th Main Road: From 80 Feet Road to Indiranagar Double Road.
  • ITPL Main Road: B-Narayanapura Shell Petrol Bunk to Garudacharpalya Decathlon, Hoodi Metro to Graphite India Junction, and ITPL Medicover to Big Bazaar Junction on both sides.

Designated Drop and Pickup Points:

  • Phoenix Mall: Drop near Bescom office, ITPL Main Road; pickup near Lowry Junction.
  • Nexus Shantiniketan Mall: Drop near Rajapalya; pickup near Aster Hospital.
  • Indiranagar: Drop near 17th Main Road Junction, 100 Feet Road; pickup near BM Sri Junction, 100 Feet Road.

Flyover Closures (11 PM to 6 AM):
Hennur, ITC, Banaswadi, Kalpalli, Domlur, Nagawara, Medahalli, OM Road, Devarabisanahalli, Mahadevpura, and Doddanakkundi flyovers will remain closed during these hours.

Additionally, BTP has organized special drives to address drunk driving, wheelies, and drag racing from December 31 to January 1. Citizens are urged to follow guidelines for a safe celebration.
