A 34-year-old woman reportedly took her own life after allegedly killing her four-year-old daughter in Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Monday, as confirmed by local authorities.

The woman, who served as the president of Pavagada Gram Panchayat, was found at their home in Ramaiah Layout, Nagasandra, while her husband was not present.

Police investigations revealed a suicide note at the scene, where the woman allegedly accused her husband of infidelity and claimed she was being harassed. The couple, who married in 2014, had a reportedly troubled relationship. The woman’s family accused her husband of having an affair, leading to frequent arguments and marital strain.

Authorities have filed a complaint of abetment to suicide against the husband, and further investigations are underway to determine more details.

In a separate incident in Haryana’s Chachroli village, a 42-year-old woman reportedly took her own life after allegedly poisoning her two daughters. One daughter survived and remains in serious condition, while the other died along with the mother. The police are investigating the case, and post-mortems have been conducted.
