Bengaluru: With the election commission approving the proposal of taking up the regular transfer of the government employees, except in Kalaburugi and Dharwad districts due to the assembly by-election, the transfer season will soon begin in the state.
According to the sources in the Chief Minister’s Office, the election commission has approved a proposal in this regard sent by the state government. This means, all the departments can take up the regular transfer of officers.
“In the health and education departments, the transfer process will be done online. In other departments, it is still manual making way for a lot of corruption,” said an officer who is privy to the developments.
It can be recalled that last year, teachers’ transfers were cancelled at last minute under the pressure by the teachers. This year the state government is expected to go ahead with the teachers’ transfer too.
