Bengaluru: Transgender activist Akai Padmasali and her husband Vasu, who recently adopted a boy child have named him as Avin.
The naming ceremony took place during the Badai event held in the city. The event was led by Geethamma Nayak, a leader of the transgender community.
The Badai is a ritual followed among the transgender community, which mainly involves prayers.
Relatives and family members of both Vasu and Akai attended the event. Speaking on the occasion Akai informed that she is happy to show the whole world that even transgenders can look after the kids.
