Bengaluru: The Special ED court adjourned the hearing of Congress strong man DK Shivakumar’s bail petition till September 25. After a two hours long argument and counter-argument by the advocates of ED and DK Shivakumar, the ED judge adjourned the hearing.

The Judge announced that he will pronounce the judgement at 3.30 pm on September 26.

The day started with the arguments by ED advocate KM Nataraj. It was followed by arguments by DKShi’s advocate Abhishekh Manu Singhvi. Nataraj opposed the bail petition claiming that the bail to the accused at this stage may hamper the investigation, but Singhvi refuted it.

According to the sources, now the ED has started a preliminary investigation into the Benami properties owned by DKShi. Belagavi Rural MLA Lakshmi Hebbalkar’s property is also now under the lens of the ED. According to the sources, a solar park owned by her in 300 acres of land is being probed by the ED.
