Bengaluru: In a big relief to officials from the animal husbandry department, all the 43 goat swab samples collected from a village in Tumakuru district tested negative for COVID 19. Officials said that this infectious disease will not transfer from humans to animals. (usually, it’s the other way around!)
On June 30, the Tumakuru district administration kept 43 goats in isolation after five of them died. Earlier, a shepherd who was looking after these goats tested positive for COVID 19.
This incident was reported from Godekere in Chikkanayakanahalli taluk. The swab samples were tested at GKVK, Yalahanka in Bengaluru.
