Tumakuru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday April 1 announced that this day would be celebrated as ‘Dasoha Dina’ every year henceforth across the State. Further, the mid-day meal programme will be named after Late Shivakumara Swamiji, he announced.
He was speaking during the 115th birth anniversary celebration of the 115th birth anniversary of the seer at Siddaganga Matha. Union Home Minister Amit Shah too was present on the occasion.
CM said that the decision of naming mid-day meal programme came as the seer’s contribution has beenvimmense as far as offering free food, education and shelter was concerned.
