Tumakuru: Former MLA KN Rajanna has slammed Congress and JD(S) leaders by calling them “backstabbers”.
Addressing the gathering at the 66th National Co-operative Week, Rajanna said, “The Congress and JD(S), in a collective effort, has superseded the Tumakuru DCC Bank. It is only because of Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa’s support that I was able to retain the presidential post of the Karnataka State Apex Cooperative Bank.”
“Some of them from Congress and JD(S) had tried to keep me away but they failed miserably. I am glad that they have now understood that I have the power of defeating someone and also help in one’s victory,” he added.
Rajanna further said that he had used profits earned by the co-operative bank to write-off farmer loans and informed that all the other co-operative banks should practice the same.
Meanwhile, the former MLA also urged the government for the installation of a 10 lakh liter mega-dairy and also requested for the resumption of the ‘Yashasvini’ health scheme.
