Tumakuru: In a heartrending incident, a man driving a car with his 8-year-old son in it, died of a massive cardiac arrest here on Wednesday, May 1.
The incident took place in the morning at the APMC market in Huliyar of Chikkanayakanahalli town.
The deceased was driving a Tata Ace with his son sitting beside him. When the driver suffered cardiac arrest, his panic-stricken son took hold of the steering wheel and turned the vehicle, driving it towards a safer place, thus averting a major mishap.
Even though the public rushed him to a hospital, he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
The scene of his son crying for help brought tears in the eyes of those gathered there.
