Tumakuru: A video has been doing the rounds where law minister J C Madhuswamy is seen abusing officials, calling them “rascal” and other terms.
The incident reportedly occurred in Tumakuru where the minister was addressing a meeting of the Karnataka Development Programme (KDP) meeting that was held on Thursday. Madhuswamy was seeking answers as to why the department was not performing well during the meeting.
As per reports, Madhuswamy can be heard asking the officials if they know where they will land if he kicks them, while calling them “rascal”. “You did nothing. Why didn’t you do it? With which soap do you wash your wife’s clothes? Rascals– what did you think? I had told you last time (to finish the work). Why wasn’t it completed?” he can reportedly be heard saying.
He is then heard directing that “all these fellows” be suspended and to “suspend that Tumakuru guy”. He also alleged that the engineering department was not doing its job well and can be heard saying that he would transfer their work to another department if they don’t do better.
Reportedly, the minister and the state government is yet to comment on the incident.
