Tumakuru: Tumakuru BJP City Mandal, on the occasion of the 80th birth anniversary of Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa and the inauguration of BJP’s Vijaya Ratha Yatra, was held under the Chairmanship of BJP
District President Hebbaka Ravishankar near Abhaya Anjaneya Swamy Temple in the premises of RTO office in City.
Inaugurating the programme, Tumakuru City MLA G. B. Jyothiganesh said that B. S. Yediyurappa, who worked as a force for the BJP in the State for four to five decades, started his struggle as a farmer activist, grew step by step and became the Chief Minister of the State twice. He rode a bicycle and fought and thus was instrumental in opening the BJP’s account in soutzh India. Yediyurappa is responsible for the political life of many people like me in the BJP, so today we are celebrating his birth anniversary with pride, he said.
BJP District President Ravi Hebbaka said, “Today, we are celebrating the 80th birth anniversary of our leader B. S. Yediyurappa across the District with great enthusiasm. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also celebrating the birthday of Yediyurappa by inaugurating the Airport in Shivamogga, the land of Yediyurappa’s political karma. This is a matter of pride for us, he said and wished that BSY’s guidance would be available to the party for many more years.
