Tumakuru: A player died on the spot after he suffered a heart attack while playing cricket at the Girigowdanapalya Cricket Trap Ground on the outskirts of the Town on Sunday December 25.
The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Kumar (36), a resident of Bhuvaneshwari Nagara in Bengaluru. Ramesh Kumar and his team had come to the Girigowdanapalya Cricket Trap Ground on Sunday December 25 to play cricket and at around 1.30 pm, Ramesh Kumar suffered a heart attack while taking a run. He collapsed on the ground and died on the spot.
As Ramesh Kumar collapsed and fell to the ground, his teammates immediately rushed to the spot and saw him, but by then Ramesh Kumar had died.
