Tumakuru: Co-operation Minister K.N. Rajanna was injured due to firecrackers burst at Huchcha Mastigowda circle in Kunigal town on Sunday june 11 morning.
Minister K.N. Rajanna was on his way to Hassan via Kunigal from Tumakuru to launch the Shakti project.
KNR’s fans, well-wishers and Congress workers, who came to know about the incident, stopped the car near Huchcha Mastigowda Circle in Kunigal town, garlanded the car and greeted him with flower garlands and burst firecrackers nearby. On this occasion, the spectacles worn by Minister Rajanna were removed and crackers were burst at the same time. The spark of fireworks came straight into the right eye and exploded.
He went to a private hospital and was treated by ophthalmologist Dr Ravikumar and later shifted to Hassan.
