Tumakuru: In a shocking incident, a police head constable, who is supposed to protect civilians, has allegedly verbally abused and beaten up a man at Amruthur Police Station in Kunigal Taluk here.
It is yet to be ascertained why Keshav Naik, the Head Constable of Amruthur Police Station, allegedly assaulted a man, and also the name and address of the victim are yet to be ascertained.
According to sources, when a man was summoned to the police station over a family matter, the Head Constable of the police station, Keshav Naik, who got angry during the interrogation, allegedly assaulted the man by using obscene words. The video of assault has gone viral in one of the Facebook pages.
Senior police officials are investigating the matter and further details are yet to be ascertained.
