Tumakuru: ISIS link, NIA detains one more person from District

Tumakuru: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) teams detained one more person in the District hours after arresting one person in Bhatkal on Sunday July 31.

NIA officers from Bengaluru and Delhi apprehended a medical student from Maharashtra after conducting a search operation in Maralur, Tumakuru District.

According to sources, the apprehended suspect was a student at HMS Unani College in Tumakuru.

The NIA raided a man’s home and detained one suspect in Bhatkal.

In a press release shared on its official Twitter account, the NIA stated that the operations were in relation to ISIS activity. The raids were conducted in six other states.
