Tumakuru: In a heart-wrenching incident, three children of the same family drowned in a lake while catching crabs.
The incident has been reported from the Devarayana Koppa Village in Pavagada Taluk of the District. Chandani (14), Bhanuvi (13), and Shariff (11) are the deceased children.
According to the Arasikere Police, who registered a FIR, these children had been to the village lake on the evening of Sunday January 29 to catch crabs. As the lake was deep and filled with mud, they drowned.
The locals lifted the bodies of these children, which was handed over the same to the parents after a postmortem.
