Tumkuru: JD (S) Leader D. C. Gowrishankar has clarified that a single-judge bench of the Karnataka High Court has invalidated his MLA membership and not disqualified him.
Addressing a press conference at his residence at Ballagere near Tumakuru, he said, “A false propaganda is being spread against me that I cannot contest elections for six years as my MLA membership has been invalidated,” he said.
The former MLAs have hatched a conspiracy against me. Therefore, I will appeal to the Supreme Court against the invalidation. I will continue my legal battle,” he said.
I am the candidate for the next election and I will contest in the election, he said and added that there was no need to panic.
