Bengaluru: Taking offence to the way in which Leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly Siddaramaih allegedly addressed Assembly Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, during a recent session in the House, primary and secondary education minister Suresh Kumar took to Twitter to express his anger.

“Oh God! Kindly enlighten opposition leader Siddaramaiah not to address the Assembly Speaker in the singular,” his tweet read

It all started when Siddaramaiah, when he was in Bagalkot, said, “The BJP has appointed a Speaker who knows nothing about House decorum. He tells me that the Opposition Leader is not supposed to speak more and asks me to sit down. He is not allowing me to address the flood issues on the floor of the House.”

Now, as a ‘Twitter war’ has broken out between the leaders, the other users have taken this opportunity to mock minister Suresh Kumar for adding the phrase “Oh God!” in every tweet.

Twitter user Ramesh B K wrote, “Oh God!! Kindly enlighten our minister on the issues of the absence of teachers in government schools and also the improper classrooms, due to which the students are suffering.”

Shiddu N tweeted, “Oh God, the government is looking into the recruitment process, two years after the KPSC exams were conducted… the list for KREIS has been out for the past six months, but no action has yet been taken by the government and the concerned officials. Kindly enlighten them.”

Mahantesh has written, “Oh God! There are around 71000 vacant posts for government teachers and we are not sure how the government is managing to give quality education. Instead of recruiting permanent teachers, the government has appointed guest teachers and has not bothered to pay them proper salary and give them job security. Kindly correct these confusions.”

Twitter user Dinesh Swandenahalli tweeted, “Oh God, kindly give strength to the state BJP leaders to stand in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and speak.”

Yet another user, Gangadhar wrote, “Oh God, help the NRIs living in different foreign countries open their eyes and see the flood situation and the troubles faced by the flood victims and contribute.”
