Tragedy struck Bengaluru as two men in their 40s lost their lives in separate road accidents since Sunday.

In northeastern Bengaluru, a 42-year-old man died after a speeding car rammed into the two-wheeler he was riding near Jakkur Cross at around 9:30 pm on March Sandeep, who was riding as a pillion passenger with his realtor friend Harish Kumar, was returning home after visiting a site. Sandeep suffered severe head injuries and was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. Kumar, however, survived with minor injuries. After the incident, the car driver fled the scene, prompting the Yelahanka traffic police to launch a manhunt.

In a separate incident on Monday, 47-year-old Naveen Kumar was killed when a lorry collided with his scooter near Fraser Town. The lorry driver has been detained and is currently being questioned by the police. Naveen Kumar was a resident of Dodda Banasawadi.

Both accidents highlight the growing concern around road safety in Bengaluru, with authorities urging caution among drivers and better enforcement of traffic regulations.
