Bengaluru: Two more people tested positive for COVID-19 in Karnataka on Wednesday, April 29 evening. The state’s tally has now risen to 534.
Of the two new cases, one was reported from Davangere and the other from Nanjangud in Mysuru.
Earlier today, nine cases were reported from the state, eight of which were reported from Kalaburagi.
The patient from Davanagere is a 35-year-old woman with influenza like illness. No history of travel or contact has been specified in the health department’s evening bulletin.
So far, Davanagere has reported three cases, of which two have recovered and have been discharged.
Mysuru’s case is a 26-year-old man who is a contact of Patient 346. The Mysuru district now has a total of 32 active cases. As many as 56 people have already been discharged.
Of the 534 cases reported from the state, 20 are deaths are 216 are discharges.
