Bengaluru: With two persons testing positive for the novel coronavirus in Deepanjalinagar and Bilekahalli, the BBMP health officials have added these two wards to the list of hotspots in the city.

In both these wards, two senior citizens without any travel history or contact history tested positive for COVID-19. This incident has raised concerns of community transmission in the area.

Presently, in Bengaluru city, 25 areas have been declared as containment zones.

Meanwhile, three more persons from Padayarayanapura have also tested positive for COVID-19 in a pool testing carried out by the BBMP. The city’s civic body is likely to expand this exercise to ensure that all those who have had contracted COVID-19 will be detected.
