Update: K’taka gets 101 new cases; Tally reaches 2283

Bengaluru: The state witnessed 100 new cases, on Tuesday, May 26. The state’s total number of COVID positive cases has reached 2282.

The state did not register any COVID fatality today.

The returnees from other states continue to pose a huge challenge to the state with regard to tackling the COVID-19 situation as a maximum number of new cases are all returnees from other states.

District-wise break-up: Chitradurga (20), Yadagir (14), Belagavi and Hasan (13 each), Davangere (11), Bidar (10), Vijayapura (5), Dakshina Kannada, Udupi (3), Kolar, Bengaluru Urban (2 each), Bagalkote, Koppal, Ballari, Chikkaballapur (one each).

5 PM Update:

Another person from Vijayapura, a 12-year-old boy tested positive for the disease. He recently returned from Maharashtra.
