Bengaluru: In a big jolt to the party, BJP state unit president B S Yeddyurappa has not been participating in any campaign-related work for the past three days. He is, reportedly, upset with the party’s decision to not give a ticket to Tejaswini Ananth Kumar from Bengaluru South.
According to sources, BSY has not left his residence in the city for the last three days, nor has he met with the party leaders. “No idea why he is upset. But he is very hurt by the party’s decision to not give a ticket to Tejaswini,” said a leader close to BSY.
“As per the plan, he is supposed to attend an event in Davanagere on Sunday evening. If he absents himself from the event, it will send a wrong message to the voters,” he explained.
“BSY is key for the party’s fortunes in the state. If he does not involve himself, the party will face embarrassment,” he added.
