Bengaluru: Leading the list of BJP members contemplating resignation is V. Somanna. Currently disheartened with the BJP, he is revisiting past grievances, including the setback he faced in the previous assembly elections.

He went to Siddaganga Mutt in Tumakuru and discussed his electoral defeat with Siddalinga Swamiji. Somanna shared details of his losses in Varuna and Chamarajanagar, expressing regret for contesting in those areas. He mentioned a significant decision point when Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited his house, attempting to persuade him to contest, but Somanna declined despite Shah spending two hours trying to convince him.

Prime Minister Modi summoned me to Delhi and advised me to run for election, what should I have done?” He unveiled the reason behind his decision to contest from two constituencies. We plan to visit Delhi from December 7 to 10 to communicate our sentiments. MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, Aravind Limbavali, MLA Aravind Bellad, MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi, and several others have expressed their intention to convey their concerns to the high command.
