Bengaluru: Leading the list of BJP members contemplating resignation is V. Somanna. Currently disheartened with the BJP, he is revisiting past grievances, including the setback he faced in the previous assembly elections.
He went to Siddaganga Mutt in Tumakuru and discussed his electoral defeat with Siddalinga Swamiji. Somanna shared details of his losses in Varuna and Chamarajanagar, expressing regret for contesting in those areas. He mentioned a significant decision point when Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited his house, attempting to persuade him to contest, but Somanna declined despite Shah spending two hours trying to convince him.
