Bengaluru: Vaccine shortage has hit government-run vaccination centres across the state. In many districts including Bengaluru, Shivamogga, Mysuru, etc. no vaccine notice was displayed in front of all the centres on Monday June 28.

According to the authorities, due to the short supply of both Covishield and Covaxin vaccines, the problem of this shortage has been reported. However, vaccines are available in all the private hospitals.

According to the authorities, with the State Government planning to launch the vaccination drives in all the institutes of higher learning at the earliest, this vaccine shortage problem is expected to continue for a few more days with vaccines being diverted to college level camps.

As expected the public are furious with the government over the delay in the vaccination drive. They are urging the government to ensure enough supply of vaccines which is key to breaking the chain of infection.
