Bengaluru: Recognising the contributions of women to the society, Veloz Eve hosted Women Achievers Awards on 8 November.
Veloz Eve, an international event management company, celebrated the achievements of women from different fields by hosting the award ceremony at the Bangalore International Center. The awards are given to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of women who have overcome cultural and social barriers to becoming role models in their communities.
The award ceremony gave recognition to the contributions of 28 women who conquered societal obstacles to excel in their respective field of profession and have become an inspiration for young girls in the country.The award ceremony also acknowledged the talent of ten children for the title of ‘India’s Best Young Girl Achievement Award’ for their prolific skills in the fields of modelling, acting, sports, classical dance and many more alike.
Speaking about what achievement means for a woman, “There was a time when taking care of your home was considered the sole achievement for women and career did not come under that category” added, TV personality Mayuri Upadhya.
The award ceremony was presided over by famous personalities and celebrities. J Narayanappa BJP President, Agriculture and Industrial Standing Committee, Bangalore Zilla panchayath, Dr A V Ravi( international bodybuilder), Mayuri Upadhyay(TV Personality), Vanishree (Cine and TV actress), Adhvithi Shetty (Actress), Roshni Telkar (Actress), Ramanand (film director), Mamatha Santhkumar (international female bodybuilder) and P. Ekanada, former junior commissioner officer, India were present at the event as the guest of honour.
The event was held in November after much delay due to the pandemic situation.
