Bengaluru: From the day 1 of the formation of the Congress-Janata Dal (S) coalition government in the state, the people of the state have been witnessing the cold war between the two parties, be it regarding the cabinet posts, policy making etc. Yet again the coalition has witnessed a squabble between two party leaders here on Saturday, February 2.
A verbal war has broken out between Public Works Department Minister H D Revanna and Congress MLC Gopalswamy.
The reason for the quarrel was H D Revanna’s statement that former chief minister Siddaramaiah had not given importance to the developmental projects of Hassan during his tenure.
As a counter-reaction, Gopalswamy opposed Revanna’s statement and defended Siddramaiah stating that he had sanctioned ample funds towards the development of the district.
Earlier in the month of January Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy had said that no legislator would be allowed to cross their limit to the extent of damaging the image of the coalition government.
KPCC President Dinesh Gundu Rao also had said that if any of the Congress legislators would speak against the party or the coalition government, they would be rusticated from the party.
The coalition leaders have not responded yet to this scenario on whether action would be take nor not.
