Veteran Actor Dwarkish Passes Away at 81

Bengaluru: Senior Sandalwood artist Dwarkish passed away at his Bengaluru residence on Tuesday. The veteran actor was 81 years old and according to the sources, he died due to cardiac arrest. More details on this awaited.

Born Bungle Shama Rao Dwarakanath on August 19, 1942, Dwarkish was an actor, director, and producer in the Kannada film industry. He was known for producing super hit films like Rasika, Mayor Muttanna, Apthamitra, Khildigalu, Rayaru Bandaru Mavana Manege, Nee Bareda Kadambari, Dance Raja Dance, and many others. His last film as a producer was Ayushmanbhava. He was the first Kannada producer to bring Kishore Kumar to the Kannada film industry, and the song “Aadu Aata Aadu” became extremely popular.

His on-screen chemistry with the late Vishnuvardhan was hailed by cine lovers.
