Bengaluru: Veteran multilingual actress Kishori Ballal breathed her last on Tuesday, February 18.
According to reports, the actress had been suffering from a respiratory ailment for the past few days.
Born in the Dakshina Kannada district, Kishori has acted in over 75 movies in a supporting role. Kishori was married to Bharatanatyam dancer N Sripathi Ballal.
She began her acting career with her debut performance in the 1960 release “Ivalentha Hendthi”. Later, she acted in movies such as “Naani”, “Veerabahu”, “Galaate”, “Kempe Gowda”, “Carry on Maratha” and several others.
She also acted in the 2004 release Hindi movie “Swades”, playing the mother of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s character.
