Bengaluru: The diamond jubilee celebration of the state Vidhana Soudha held on Wednesday was full of confusions with authorities showing negligence.
Despite the event being attended by the President of India Ram Nath Kovind, no proper protocol were followed at the event. The President was invited for speech without a welcome address. There was no thanksgiving address also which irked many legislators.
Furthermore, the documentary film show was conducted twice. None of the ministers except social welfare minister H Anjaneya attended the documentary film show. As per the schedule, the event supposed to conclude at 5 pm but it concluded by 4 pm itself with organisers showing little interest in organising the event.
Another highlight of the event was that a two-year-old baby remained crying near the stage. Even though the announcement was made repeatedly and baby’s visuals were put up on the LCD, the parents did not turn up over one hour, fuelling more confusion.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who was upset with the speaker for spending lavishly on this one day event also didn’t attend most of the events.
