Bengaluru: The 63rd Sessions Court gave permission to Alam Pasha to assist Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) for Vidhwat, who is fighting for life at Mallya Hospital after an attack by Mohammed Nalapad and his friends.

Alam Pasha, who is also the founder of an NGO called “The Helping Citizen and People’s Court” had earlier requested the court that he would assist the prosecutor of Vidhwat. However, Mohammed Nalapad’s prosecutor Tami Sebastian had urged not to give permission for SPP and his assistant. After a trial, the court has agreed to request of Alam Pasha and gave permission to submit the prosecution in a written formate.

In this case, Shyamsundar will be the Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) for victim Vidhwat. He will be assisted by Alam Pasha. The issues which may not be raised by Shyamsunder will be taken up by Alam Pasha.

Pasha welcomed the judgment of the court and said that the court has given the opportunity to assist SPP for the first time in this type of case. “The accused attacked Vidhwat in a public place. After the incident, MLA Harris has visited the victim and his family. They might have lured them. The SPP may not raise such issues, but I will inform the court,” he said.
