Bengaluru: The Upparpet police have registered a case against Karnataka State Anganwadi Workers’ Association for violating permit conditions.
According to the police, the Karnataka State Anganwadi Workers’ Association had sought permission to march from the city railway station to Freedom Park but they blocked the road by camping on the busy Seshadri road, causing major traffic disruptions. The Upparpet police on March 20 booked a case against the association.
According to a senior police officer, the case attracts a fine; this is more for the record purpose. “We have booked a case of violation of permit conditions against those who organised the anganwadi protest,” said the police officer.
As per the procedure, the police will prepare a detailed report on the violation and submit it to the designated court, seeking direction. The court may slap a fine on them, the police officer added.
