Bengaluru: “Voting is a precious duty given to us by our constitution. To decide the future of our nation, the youth have to compulsorily participate in voting”, said Bengaluru South constituency candidate from Bharatiya Janata Party, Tejaswi Surya.
He was talking on the subject ‘Youth and Leadership’, an interactive session with the students of BNM College in Banashankari second stage on Tuesday, April 9.
He said that the youth should develop political awareness along with skill development and leadership qualities. It was the reduction of voting age that brought in a new government which shows the power of youth, he opined.
He said that it was Narendra Modi who insisted that the youth of the country should come to the mainstream otherwise the nation would slip into darkness. This has started a new revolution among youth, he added.
The economic policies of the NDA government have improved the GDP of the nation and many made in India products were coming to the market when compared to made in China earlier, said Tejaswi.
