Bengaluru: On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, Lions Blood Line is organising a walk-in blood donation drive on March 7 and 8 in the city. Those who are interested to participate in this camp can call the Lions Blood line or directly go to their nearest blood bank and donate blood.
Alphonse Kurien, chairman of the Lions Blood Line said that the people need not come to a particular destination but rather visit the blood bank which is closest to them in order to help with the cause. He explains that this step was taken so that people do not have to travel much during the pandemic.
“We are always looking for more people to respond to our call and help with the donations,” said Kurien. Since the pandemic, the donations have been less and some of the blood banks have even tried to motivate their staff to donate, he added.
He further explains that many people have responded to the call and have already conducted the donations.
