Bengaluru: Moulana Sahfi Saadi, the Chairman of the Karnataka Waqf Board said that over 10 degree colleges for women will be established in ten locations across the State, including Kalaburagi, Yadgir, and Raichur districts.

The Board made this decision to raise awareness among Muslims about the necessity of getting an education.

The Waqf Board has also decided to build a well-equipped coaching centre near Bengaluru’s Lal Bagh to prepare Muslim youths for competitive examinations such as the IAS and IPS.

The centre’s foundation stone will be laid in June. According to sources, Jiya Ulla Sharif, a philanthropist, has pledged to donate Rs. 15 Crore to the centre.
