Bengaluru: The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has decided not to allow SSLC students to enter the SSLC examination halls with watches. Instead, the board itself will ensure that a wall clock is present in all the examination halls.
According to sources in the KSEEB, a decision in this regard has been taken to make the examination system more foolproof.
“There is a possibility of the students using the latest watches to commit malpractice during the examinations. So, it has been decided not to allow watches,” said V Sumangala, director, KSEEB.
The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) also decided to ban watches for the CET 2019 examinations. The decision was taken after watches allowing two-way communication were introduced in the market.
