Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah informed that India is a secular country and the Congress will not allow anybody to convert it into a Hindu Rastra.
“The BJP and the RSS are pushing their hidden agenda of making India a Hindu rastra. CAA and proposed NRC are on the same lines. BJP and RSS never respected the constitution of the country,” he charged.
Speaking to the reporters in the city after inaugurating the Congress workshop on CAA and NRC, he stated that BJP and RSS leaders talk about casteless society, but in reality, they are supporting the caste system.
“BJP wants to implement Manusmriti. That is why they are trying to dilute the constitution which is secular in nature. BJP wants the upper castes to rule the society,” he charged.
KPCC president Dinesh Gundurao stated that Congress is not against Hindus. “We are against fascism. The BJP is trying to send a false message,” he alleged.
