Bengaluru: As many as 211 passengers had a lucky escape after the flight wheel got separated and fell off on Tuesday.
The incident occured when the Spice Jet flight operating in Bengaluru-Kolkata route took off from Kempegowda International Airport. Suddenly the tyre got separated and fell off but the staff did not notice it. The incident came to light when the flight was about to land in Kolkata and the staff noticed that a wheel was missing.
However the flight was directed to land safely averting a mishap and all the on-board passengers are said to be safe.
There were 204 passengers on-board along with 7 staff.
