Bengaluru: JD(S) State Chief HD Kumaraswamy had entered into an alliance with the BJP during the last Assembly polls on power sharing basis and what followed has gone down the pages of history. However, while speculations are still rife about the possibilities of the JD(S) turning to its former partner again, JD(S) Supremo and former prime minister Deve Gowda has made a rather shocking revelation.
In an exclusive interview to renowned journalist Pranoy Roy, Gowda has said that he would not hesitate to disown his son if the latter repeats the same mistake of joining hands with the BJP.
The veteran leader went on to say that HDK cannot take a call this time even about joining hands with the Congress without seeking his permission. “If this happens again, my family and I will boycott/disown him,” he said adding that HDK has learnt his lessons from his past mistakes and he has openly admitted to the mistake committed by him.
“He has said that the BJP-JD(S) coalition had caused immense pain to me and it even took toll on my health. My health and well-being is of utmost importance to him. I am sure he will not repeat the mistake,” he said adding that both the Congress and the BJP are not trustworthy because both make use of the regional parties and then ditch them.
“What happened to Shiv Sena and why did Chandrababu Naidu walk out of the alliance. How can you even trust these people,” he questioned.
