Bengaluru: In a big set back to actress Sumalatha Ambareesh, wife of the late ‘Rebel Star’ M H Ambareesh who was a former Union and state minister, ‘Hatric Hero’ Shivarajkumar has made it clear that he will not campaign for her.
Speaking at a promotional event for his upcoming movie “Kavacha”, he stated that he will not campaign for any candidate.
“Sumalatha didn’t invite me till now. Even if she invites me, I will not campaign for her. I don’t know the ABCD of politics. I am not even campaigning for my brother-in-law, Madhu Bangarappa, who is contesting in Shivamogga,” he said.
“To understand politics, one needs to be intelligent. I am not intelligent. So, I am bad at the art of politics,” he added.
It can be recalled that Sumalatha is contesting from the Mandya Lok Sabha constituency as an independent candidate. She will be facing the JDS and Congress alliance candidate, Nikhil Kumaraswamy, con of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.
