A 37-year-old woman has alleged that she was assaulted by a father and son in Vyalikaval, Bengaluru, following a dispute linked to an alleged illicit relationship.
Police said the complainant, Devika, works at a printing press and filed a complaint regarding the incident that reportedly took place on Friday night.
Assault alleged near residence
According to police, Devika stated that around 10 pm, her neighbours Nagaraj, a real estate broker, and his son Lokesh allegedly dragged and assaulted her near her house in front of family members.
She claimed the confrontation followed remarks connected to Lokesh’s alleged relationship.
Complaint details
Devika told investigators that she had not voluntarily disclosed anything regarding the matter.
She said she only responded when questioned by Lokesh’s wife, after which the accused allegedly confronted and attacked her.
Counter-complaint also filed
Based on her statement, Vyalikaval Police Station registered a case and issued notices to the accused for further inquiry.
Meanwhile, the accused have also filed a counter-complaint, alleging that Devika threatened to damage their reputation and verbally abused family members.
Investigation under way
Police are examining both complaints and gathering statements from those involved.
No further arrests or action had been confirmed at the time of reporting.
