In Bengaluru, a woman and her male friend have been arrested following the stabbing of 60-year-old Hitendra Kumar, a cloth shop owner. The incident took place in Sadduguntepalya on September 15, as Hitendra was meeting the woman at KEB Park in BTM Layout.
According to the police, during the meeting, the woman’s friend, Siddu, suddenly attacked Hitendra, stabbing him multiple times in the abdomen. Local residents notified the police and assisted in getting Hitendra to the hospital, where he is now reported to be stable.
The police report indicates that Hitendra had previously proposed to the woman, who had accepted but later claimed harassment during her time working at his shop. Investigations are underway to determine if the attack was planned or in response to alleged harassment.
The authorities are reviewing communications between the woman and Hitendra and questioning employees from the shop to clarify the circumstances surrounding the case.
