A 26-year-old woman from West Bengal faced a horrifying ordeal at her apartment in Sanjay Nagar, Bengaluru. The accused, Manjunath Gowda, reportedly attacked and molested her near the gate of Planet Vista Apartments, prompting police to register an FIR.

The incident occurred on December 3 when the woman stepped out to collect a parcel. She alleged that Gowda, appearing intoxicated, began verbally abusing her. Despite her initial attempts to ignore him, the situation escalated. According to her complaint, Gowda struck her forehead, choked her against a wall, and attempted to drag her into his home.

When she resisted and screamed, he bit her finger, inflicting injuries. The woman managed to flee but was pursued by Gowda, who assaulted her again on the staircase. Intervention by neighbors eventually brought the attack to a halt.

The following morning, the accused was allegedly seen peeping through her window. When confronted, he threatened to invade her home and hurled further abuse when denied entry. She also stated that Gowda had previously harassed her with inappropriate behavior and quarrels.

Police have launched an investigation following her complaint. The incident has raised serious concerns about safety and the need for stringent action against perpetrators.
