A heated altercation erupted on a busy street when a woman accused an auto-rickshaw driver of running over her foot, leading to a shocking scene captured on video. The driver, firmly denying any physical contact, responded, “You can inspect it yourself, I never even came close to your vehicle.”
As he attempted to film the argument on his mobile phone, the woman lost her temper. Removing her slipper, she began striking him repeatedly in full public view. Loudly daring him, she yelled, “Go ahead, record it! Do whatever you want!”
Despite the physical assault, the auto driver maintained that he was not at fault. He repeatedly asked the woman to verify the incident properly before making accusations. The woman, however, continued to allege that the autorickshaw had injured her by running over her foot.
Authorities have now taken up the matter. A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed, and police officials are in the process of reviewing CCTV footage and interviewing people who were present at the scene.
The footage, which has since gone viral, has triggered a wider conversation online about public shaming, road rage, and the challenges faced by daily-wage workers like auto drivers.
The investigation is ongoing, and officials are yet to confirm the accuracy of either claim. Meanwhile, the incident has sparked debates around public behavior and accountability on the streets.
