Bengaluru: A woman immolated herself after an argument ensued with her husband over fish curry on Thursday night in Tarabanahalli in Chikkajala. The woman was rushed to hospital by the neighbours after she sustained sever burns.
Anjali(36) a labourer was asked to prepare fish curry by her husband Venkateshwarappa. She refused stating that she didn’t like fish curry.
Thereafter, both who got into a verbal fight. Meanwhile, Husband, who was in an inebriated state, demanded that she prepare the dish for dinner.
Refusing to to do, Anjali immolated herself in the kitchen after pouring kerosene on her.
Venkateshwarappa, who noticed the fire, screamed for help. Neighbours, who rushed in, took her to Victoria Hospital.
Venkateshwarappa has been taken into custody for questioning.
