Apoorva Mukhija, widely known as The Rebel Kid, has landed in fresh controversy following resurfaced comments about Bengaluru, calling the city “soulless” and expressing her dislike for living there. While the investigation into her connection with Ranveer Allahabadia’s remarks on India’s Got Latent continues, her past video has intensified the backlash.

In the clip, she narrated an incident where an auto driver refused to talk to her because she didn’t speak Kannada. She went on to contrast Bengaluru with Mumbai, praising the latter’s safety and warmth. “That day, I realized spending every rupee in Mumbai is worth it. It’s a city that feels alive,” she said.

The remarks have angered Bengaluru residents, who took to social media to call out her generalizations. One user countered, saying, “Bengaluru has its flaws, but calling it soulless is ignorant.” Another added, “Such comments only create division. Respecting different cultures is key.”

The controversy comes as Mukhija records her statement with Mumbai Police regarding Allahabadia’s contentious remarks. Meanwhile, comedian Samay Raina has deleted all related videos from YouTube amid mounting criticism.
