Woman raped by men who offered a ride at night
A distressing incident unfolded in Bengaluru as a woman was allegedly raped by two men who offered her a ride late Sunday night. The crime took place near the KR Market bus station under the SJ Park Police Station limits.
The woman, who was trying to reach her brother’s home in Yelahanka around 11:30 pm, accepted the offer from the accused, Saravana and Ganesh. Posing as helpful strangers, the men diverted to a desolate area where they sexually assaulted her.
Adding to the trauma, the suspects also looted her valuables, including cash, her mobile phone, and jewelry. The police, acting on the victim’s complaint, apprehended both men shortly after. The case has been officially registered at the Women Police Station within Bengaluru Central Division.
This tragic event serves as a grim reminder to exercise caution when accepting assistance from unknown individuals. Authorities advise relying on verified transport services and staying alert in unfamiliar situations, especially during late hours.
