Bengaluru: The land acquisition procedure for the Davanagere – Chitradurga- Tumakuru rail line is nearing completion, and track-laying work would begin soon,” said Union Minister A. Narayanaswamy.
Speaking to mediapersons on Sunday June 5 he said, “About 80 per cent of the land acquisition process for the Davanagere – Tumakuru direct rail route has been completed. The new rail line’s work will begin soon.”
Listing the achievements of the Modi government and funds allocated for the development of his home district he further said, “The Centre had set aside Rs. 873 Crore for the development of highways that run through the district, including the Holalkere – Hosadurg stretch and in Molakalmur Taluk.”
He also said that works on the Chitradurga – Shivamogga highway are underway.
