Youth robs wine shop to throw b’day party, lands straight in jail!

Bengaluru: A student from the city fell into police net after he resorted to robbing a wine shop to throw a birthday bash and also to pay his college fee.

Raja Shrinivas Rao(20) along with his friends Manju Alias Maxi(26), Prithviraj(19), Vijay Alias Viji(28), Krishnamurthy alias Atti Salam(25), Balaram(28), Manikantha(26) and his relative Nagaraj alias Kata(23) had burgled Shrinivas Wines in Gollahalli Gate on August 27.

All the theives were arrested with the help of CCTV footage and three lethal weapons have been seized from them, said city police commissioner T Sunil Kumar.

Shrinivas Rao who hails from Raichur came to city three years ago for studies. His father had sent him Rs 30,000 to pay college fees but he partied along with his friends and spent all the money. So in order to pay the fees and also celebrate his birthday he hatched a plan to burgle wine shop along with his friends.
